Been in Louisville the last 2 days....My truck is in front between Freedom Hall and the South Wing in Rotary Lift's booth (Booth 90100). Took it up Wednesday and got to look around inside the show without alot of people there and watched alot of stuff being setup. Went back today and while there seamed to be not as many people there as in the last few years it was still a big crowd for a Thusday. So what if Paccar aint there...its not the end of MATS and its not the first time they have missed a MATS show. Back in the late 70's Paccar was a no show. In fact Mack Ford Frightliner and International were the only ones there then and I believe Frightliner only had 2 trucks there. If your pulling a flatbed there are tons of good deals on Alum. boxs, straps and headache racks. And as in years past when Sat comes the deals only get better cause they dont wanna take all that stuff back with'em.

I'd love to see the new Carrier X2 Special Edition. Anyone happened to snap a picture? Here goes press release:

    LOUISVILLE, Ky., March 18, 2009
A trailer refrigeration unit has never looked cooler than the X2 Special Edition
now available from Carrier Transicold, part of Carrier Corp., a business unit of United Technologies Corp.
The X2 Special Edition is a custom configured model 2100A refrigeration unit with a chrome grille
and stainless accents, silver metal-flake paint job and a "Special Edition" emblem.
But there is more to this machine than just exceptionally good looks. It also comes with Carrier's
Stealth® 2 sound-reduction package, an LED light bar and a control software bundle that can be
used for fuel-efficiency performance optimization. Additionally, Carrier has included a five-year
extended warranty and preventive maintenance package with the purchase of this unit.
With a tip of the hat to long-haul operators who pride themselves in their individualism,
the package also includes a Special Edition X2 cap, shirt, belt-buckle and coffee mug. It was
featured by Carrier this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show.
