I've have run Lucas in the tranny and rear ends with good results. The lucas dropped the oil temps about 10-15 degrees in all three. I did try it in my ACERT, but only once. It didn't drop the oil temps and the pressure stayed the same. Now when I had my Detroit the Lucas did a great job in it. The oil pressure was about 5psi higher.

Right now I run Schaeffers 7000 (synthetic blend) in my ACERT and I won't even consider putting a addative in it. Mostly cause the oil is so good to begin with. In a about a week I'm changing my drivetrain to Schaeffers and Lucas won't be going in those either for the same reason. My opnion is that if you spend the money on a high quality oil to begin with, you shouldn't need addatives...they should already be in the oil. But on a older motor that uses a lot of oil and your trying to limp it awhile longer...yeah run Lucas cause it thickens up the oil a little.

As far as I know Schaeffer doesn't sell online. I buy mine through a local dealer that handles 2-4 counties in the area. I perfer this method cause he will spend more time getting to know me and my operation, which in turn helps him suggest different products to me. Also i get free oil samples from him (actually free samples done by the Schaeffer lab). I don't know if he eats the cost of them or if its included with the purchase of a drum of oil (I get 6 samples when I buy a 55 gallon drum and each extra sample is only $1).

I have used motorkote ...ITS not an oil additive it does not mix or mess with your oil...but what GREAT RESULTS ...series 60 Detroit, 500,000 miles, 7 mpg+ , over six thousand miles on oil and still (clean) , GOLDEN !!! no soot, I drive the shi.... out of it and lug it down !!!!! Grapevine , Donner, Syskious.... I also use Amsoil 2 stroke for ring lube , guess where I put it....thats right best fuel lube around

You can not coat metal surfaces by just adding an additive to oil.

The only way to coat parts is when the parts are cleaned and prepped properly with the coating molecularly bonded to the metal with the correct process.

When a coating like MicroBlue's Tungsten Disulfied is applied properly it will take a lathe cutting tool to remove it from the metal surface.

    More on MicroBlue here: http://www.microblueracing.com/low-f...echnology.html

Im thinking that the motorkote is Molybdenum Disulphide, as per their discription of how it works sounds the same as molybond. ive been using molybond for over 25 years and it does work, check out thier web site, they mainly cater to the mining industry. I buy a box of it at a time and it costs about $17au per tube

here is a link to the stuff i use http://www.itwpf.com.au/molybond_lub...x?productid=69
