Got 200,000+ on the last two sets of Continentals HSL steers and now bought a Bridgestone 283 cause dealer can't get continental anymore. Probably a dumb move

Already learned a lesson about Kelly steering tires. No idea what's next after. Goodyear or Continental? I have 285/75r24.5 tires, most pronounce low pro (I don't know). Michelin doesn't offer those size anymore.

I installed a pair of Hankook AH11s 315/80R 22.5’s on my 18,000 steer in October of 2016. I didn’t need floaters because everything I do is on the highway or pavement. I picked them because they had more sipes than any other steers I had seen, which made sense here in Michigan. I also really like the Hankooks I’ve got on my 2500HD. However, I am tremendously disappointed that after only 60,000 miles they are skins. Apparently they are made with the softest compound available. They have worn very uniformly, but uniformly down to nothing. Suggestions anyone??

I'm running Yokohama RY617 steers on a 290 wheelbase 379 with 90 to 95 psi cold and so far I'm real happy with them. I'm always between 11 and 12k on steers, most times just under 12.
How come a lot of you guys are running so much tire pressure? The contact patch with that much pressure is killing the life of the tire no doubt. Not to mention poor handling as well. -

I'm glad this got revived and I just read it all.
I recently went with Yokos from T/A. Happy now...BUT they sent me out of there with a drivers side yoko that sent me on a path of troubleshooting....all the way up to all new drive tires (I needed them anyway) and new steer aluminum rims....which is when we figured out my brand drivers side yokohama was .90 out of round. It took me 25k miles to figure it out. I still have not received a check from them so I am done with them.
I really don't know who will be next. I want the best of the best for a cabover. I need to do some homework!
