I have a 1992 N14 cummings. The computer is shot. I need to know if i can convert it to a mannuel engine.
What would it take to make this conversion?
If you have suggestions, of any kind, please help me!

I found something on Google asking the same question, the short answer is maybe, but going into it further, you need to change the charge pump and the injectors, and will probably hurt economy and power.

You might be able to find a used ECM. If there is a Jake brake on it, that probably won't work without the computer, either.

you can make it mechanical but it would cost more than the new ecm, my cummins guy did it for a pulling truck and it worked very well, it did not hurt power but then again it was runnin 2 turbos

I agree the cost and hassle wouldn't be worth it. Probably be easier to swap to a big cam if you really want a mechanical.
