I noticed my secondary air gauge is bleeding off after the engine has been shut down, when I picked it up that wasn't happening. Start engine and air builds backup to the proper operating pressure,,, are there any special place to start looking for leaks, should I get out the soap bucket and start hunting? Of past has anyone experienced this situation?

Secondary system is responsible for front brakes and ALL you air accessories. Problem could be anywhere. How fast does the air leak down?

I got out the trusty soap spray bottle and went to work, didn't take but a couple minutes to find where the leak was,,, ""passenger side cab air bag"" drivers side checked good. I have the system full pressured and will check it in a couple hours, then in the morning,,, going to soap every thing and make sure there are no other leaks.
Thanks for your response, only had the truck about three weeks, better to find this kind of problem while parked. I disconnected the air bag modulator arm and will get another set of bags.. Probably cost a couple hundred bucks? -
Cool! Good find! It can be a nightmare sometimes when the leaks are behind dash panels or whatever. Nice to have something easier for a change.

Well, seeing every thing is made of Plastic and Sync rubber these day's we are held Hostage to failure. Out here the Summer sunshine plays hell on both "Western AZ". Today day we have a throw away social culture, thus the Mfrg produces low grade materials and brake downs can be expected, I don't get all bent out of shape , "like I use too". I figure if I do good preventive maint I'll have less problems on the road. Thanks for your comments.
? what are your thoughts "Lucas Products"? Oil and fuel treatments? -
Since this thread is about an air leak I thought I'd throw in my experience in hopes that it will help someone else... I do not know if all airbags are designed the same way but here is what happened to mine. I have a 2002 International... I was having a heck of a time finding an air leak. I knew it was at or near an airbag so I got the soap out and went searching.. Lines, fittings all around rim of bag... Nothing ARRRRRRGGGG!!!! Finally got a bucket and dumped it over the frame, bag, lines etc.. Air was coming from between the frame and top of bag. HUH!!!! Frame is leaking??????? Pulled the bag and what I found is that my bags are universal left/right fit. There are 2 indentions in the top to accept 1 frame bolt. Over time water/salt had collected in the pocket and rusted it out... Luckily I am pretty handy so I bead blasted it picked a compreable washer and proceeded to weld it in place filling the un-used indention. After welding this up I covered the whole top with paintable silicon the painted it. Works great. Rather than pull the others at this time I opted to seal the frame/bag area with silicon until I have the time to pull the others and retro them with this same fix to prevent future problems. Hope this helps someone....Be Safe....

Ok, as for lucas, I have done bearing rolls on engines that were religiously run with Lucas, and the bearings looked just as worn as ones who faithfully serviced his truck with a name brand oil. To each his own.

Ah yes, a rusty air leak "just kidding" Ordered my new cab air bag today,, $59.60 + USP shipping. Seeing it wasn't in stock I got slapped with the freight bill ""Now that is getting slapped! I still have to soap down the whole air system , just for safety. By the way, those mounting bracket bolts are a Nun's garter belt to get out! Thanks to all for the advice. Sure I'll need plenty more in the future.
