3406b turn up

    Yeah I have heard this but I always go into the AFRC this will definitely affect response.

    92 pete your on the right trail if you've found ynot's posts..

    If you don't have much experience with these motors though, his posts might go right over your head.. :biggrin_25523:

    I usually have to read them at least like 5 times to be sure I don't miss something, and I've had plenty of practice.. :biggrin_2559:

    Study his posts and get you a service manual for your engine [ebay] and your life will be a lot simpler if you are going to do your own work.. :yes2557:

    The afc is the first thing to go when I run into one that has power issues.. I've got 3 b'models right now counting this 3zj, and have had a couple of c'models in the past..

    Its not that hard to get the later b' or c'models to really put out like a 4mg or 7fb engine that is right, but just turning the rack screws out and bumping the timing won't do it..

    Thanks to emission requirements, it's basically the older the better for making easy power..

    At the elevation 92 is at bumping the timing along with rack screw adjustment will improve H/P Yep if I remember there was a piston ratio change made to them 3zj

    anyone know where i can get this done in dallas? i read several threads but cant find myself to do it. i would like 50-75 more hp.

    i got a tip today that e model manifolds will wake the b model engines up,also that c model injectors are the same as aftermarket injectors. anybody elso heard this?

    E model manifolds are smaller than B/C manifolds.

    One of the only differences in the C model is the rod journals on the crank. The injectors are the same.
