any one in here working in sales for new trucks, looking for good deal on new truck
thanksVodila Thanks this. -
I have driven both the Cascadia and the Volvo 600 series. Comfort for me goes to the Cascadia. I REALLY like the steering wheel mounted controls. Ride quality is pretty close between the two. Sleeper size goes to Cascadia. Cascadia is a bit quieter than the Volvo. Fuel mileage would depend on how the trucks are spec'd, but the edge may very well go to Cascadia, but not by much. If these were my only two choices, I believe I would take a DD-15 equipped Cascadia over a D-13 Volvo, if for no other reason than that Freightliner dealers are everywhere, and parts are much easier to find.

I agree with Captain on the cascadia. In terms of space and maintenance problems, the cascadia wins hands down. Nearly all the drivers I talk too are having EGR problems with their Volvo engines which cost significantly more. I am hoping a tech can chime in just how much more it cost.

good mourning: now really the volvo has a sharper turning radious and some say its easier to work on and the new volvo has a lot of room in the cab but that about where the good stuff ends, you will have troubel finding some one to work on the thing that knows what there doing not to mention parts and there rfesale valuue really sucks, where as the freightliner has a dealer bout everywhere, they have a much better ride a nice cab for comfort, a good air ride suspension and a better resale valuue and they dont depreciate as quick, dollor for dollor your way ahead with freightliner. volvo is easy to get but hard to get rid of.
hope this has helped a little . best of luck . southernpridetrucker2009 Thanks this. -
I second the FRTLNR. Volvo just has too small and weak of a dealer network to be reliable enough.
