Hey Dice, Why did you replaced your PP turbo for the B/W stage 1, according to your year ago post ? Didn't your PP turbo last? Anyways......... I talk to Andre on Friday and he's out of those stage 1 turbos now. Says he will have more built by next week. Im running a 601hp file(5DS) with 58's and it runs great. And I know after I replace the turbo from Turbo exchange, it will be even better. As it is, its FUN to drive now.

I have installed my B/W stage 1 turbo which I bought in 5 pieces(2 housings,1 cartrigde, 2 band clamps) from Turbo Supply. The cost came to under $1400.00 with shipping.
Now with the 5DS file(601hp) and the 58's injectors, let me tell you, what a difference like night and day. It is so much fun to drive, the boost gets up to 46psi and the pyro has not seen 700. I know I could change the trim codes which are at default now 1100, along with the fts and fls which are whatever the 5DS file calls for. Anyways, I very happy the way the truck is running so I might just leave it alone. What Im really curious about is I wonder how much HORSEPOWER Im putting on the ground.
I also need to add that formerly the engine was a 5EK 435, but had been rebuilt with upgrade hard parts. -
Interested to know if there's a suitable BB turbo for my 12.7 500 HP detroit.

I've always heard the 5EK blocks are weak over 800hp. I know we've changed out to that cracked on the oil journal.
