Well, I thought I did. Im about determined my truck will not idle unless the outside temperature is either below 20 or above 80.
But, am I understanding you correctly that your truck's ECM is set up the same way with the 20, 80 stuff?
What did you mean by pushing the pedal down after the lights come on and before pushing the override button 3 times? I tried doing that, bumpin the idle up to a hundred rpms over normal idle, waited for the lights to flash, pushed the pedal down to the floor, let up and pushed the override button 3 times and nothing. After 3 minutes, the lights came back on indicating the motor was about to shut off.
How do you do that, with a laptop? If so, they supposedly have that stuff coded so that you cant without the password.
What do you mean by "ramp"? Are you saying that the rpms should increase by pushing the decel button once? Also, when you say to turn the cruise on, am I supposed to run the high idle or just tuen the cruise on and hit the decel button?
With mine, I believe it is. And if it is infact IS, I think thats how they get away with it because its not like my truck wont idle for en extended period at all, it will, but only if the outside temperature is below 20 degrees or above 80 degrees. If its below 80 or above 20, they figure you dont need AC or if its above 20, thats why we have the bunk heater.

A Cascadia ECM is the same regardless of whether it's DD15 or 60 Series, as mine is. All I have to do is turn on the cruise and then push the decel button. I control the idle speed with the decel and accel buttons on the steering wheel. If I so much as rest my foot on any of the pedals, my idle will shut off.
If this doesn't work on your truck, it sounds like your company disabled it. You may need to take it up with them. 80 degrees seems a bit high to disable your a/c because we all know that 80 outside is going to be closer to 95 inside a vehicle. These %$#& companies that want to save a buck here and there and don't care about driver well-being!
Do you mind if I ask what company it is? -
But, I highly doubt that the ecms are the same because the dd15 is way different from the 60 series. I could see some similarities between the dd15 and the dd13 but even in that case, I'm sure there are some differences within the parameters.
But atleast when we're in houston in august and in wyoming in january we have no problem makin the truck idle. I mean hell, we're team drivers for petes sake. We don't idle that much to begin with but there's still times where even though its not blistering hot or freezing cold that we need to charge the batteries or keep them charged when we fire up the toaster oven. At least we have a little charging cable to hook between the jump posts on the trucks framerail and the reefer battery but sometimes that's more trouble than its worth. -
91° outside but other options didn't work. -
well, I understand, truck is new but I do not think ECM is locked with password, so you can easily disable ore change delay of shut down timer.
Well, if it is locked, look for good tuner who has DDRS and he can change timer parameters easily. -

Need to take it to the diesel doctor in little Rock ar and have that feature turned off or adjust the settings for you. He don't charge that much but well worth it.

Thanks dude
