'09 Pinnacle with MP8 engine, 116,000 miles and a year old with very few issues. In the first 4 months the truck was in the shop about 4 times for minor engine related items, mostly coolant related, and once inthe ifrst year for DPF issues. Otherwise, it's been a great engine

I have not heard of any issues with the MP7 the early MP8'S had recalls on injector cups, 7th injector plugging up those have all been resolved, Everyone I talk to really likes the engine very good power and getting better fuel mileage than a ISX or Cat. With Urea injection the hp has been increased to 505hp Military is buying them with out any emmissions junk on them with 525hp the MP10'S in the Titan are being used in very sever conditions I think if there are any weak spots in that motor it should show up fairly quickly

I personally prefer macks. ive never had any major probs. i drove 98... really dont recall which motor was in it, but it was bulletproof. was only about 330 hp but didnt bother me. got the job done.
