    Thanks MR. Haney. I swaped in an ecm from a 6NZ i had in the shop at that time and driveability is now 100%. it is only a 475hp though. What would cause this in the ECM? This is the 2nd ecm in this truck since we've owned it, same problem, I believe my engine shop pulled a fast one selling us the ecm (not using them anymore), what xould have caused this in the ECM and can it be fixed? possibly something you can fix?

    is it possible to instal a c15 2006 serial # mxs on to a kw wich had a 3406e serial # 2ws

    The 600 Hp files were written by CAT for the early 3406E 15.8L with a serial number prefix 5DS. The ECM on your engine and this engine use the same part number for a replacement. The main difference is the fuel tables in the programming for the extra Hp. The other main difference is the 5DS file in a 475 -550 Hp 5EK engine is the injector size. The 5DS file uses smaller injectors to build the 600 Hp with this engine than a 550 Hp 5EK engine uses. So not only do you gain Hp from the uprate of Hp of the file, you'll gain more Hp with the injector size difference also. The only unusual thing that you will notice using this file is that the fan will not engage until 217*F

    Nov 99 flash files

    Mr Haney i know of flash files for 6nz and 7cz with release date nov 99 are thay low nox files also 2ws and 1mm release date oct 99

    No it means all low numbers are low nox. For a 40pin ecm the low-nox files should all be over 300
