Don't tell Swift, England or Prime about them...They'll install them as fog lights and blind us even worse.

Ooh, that would work perfect on the back of the trailer and up underneath so I could see where the trailer was tracking in some of the dark back woods places I go.

Yea I thought they would be perfect to light up the inside of a trailer, but I could almost hire a kid to follow me with a flashlight for $1600.00:biggrin_2559:

Wonder what the DOT would say if they found a small child in the trailer with a flash light?
Check out how much difference it makes!
I was thinking if you have a dry van or reefer I bet all it would take is one well directed one long bar or a 1 small one in the front and one in the back.
I'm wondering how I could get one in my livestock trailer.

Bet it wouldn't take much to put one together. LED's are cheap and it doesn't have to be bullet proof.

but the ones they use are a lot bigger then what you can get at say radio shack. But from what ive played around with leds you would need a minimum of 30-50 per light to get anything in a usable light output so your still talking a good $30 a light and a crap load of soldering

I doubt they manufacture the bigger LED's themselves. It's just a matter of tracking down who does make them and ordering direct. The whole cost of this thing is based on the bullet proof gimmick, aiming for military contracts.

LED's have come a long way. I bought one of those little LED flashlights they have on the counter at a lot of truck stops. I was surprised to find it worked well enough to hold in my teeth while running a skid loader in total darkness and see what I'm doing.
