That was a very informative video. I did not know that a tire could go that quickly.

I've seen when the lug nuts won't come off and they apply heat to the stud to get it to break loose. Im staying away from now on if I come into that situation. But im sure as hell going to let the tire guy know what could happen. I have a habit of using "antiseize" on the studs before putting the stud/nuts back on. (that sure sounds funny the way a wrote that last sentence, lol....).:biggrin_25523:

I think that was posted a while back. Amazing video though, we were all wondering why the guy needed a hardhat while filming the video.:biggrin_2559:

When I have a stubborn lug nut, I use a 3/4" breaker bar with a 30" pipe slipped over the handle. Then I wrap one end of a chain around the pipe, and hook the other end onto 2-ton engine hoist. Then I just jack up the engine hoist and it breaks the stubborn lug nut loose so my 3/4" impact gun can get it off.:biggrin_2556:

I use it on most everything, it sure makes life easier later on down the road.

Years ago, I had an old Y-block Ford that the middle cam bearing oil holes had gotten clogged up preventing oil getting to the rocker shafts. I took the shafts apart coated everything liberally with anti-seize put them back together and drove it like that for another 20,000 miles. I was a broke high school kid trying to get by with some Southern Boy Ingenuity.

That's why tires are good for starting bonfires.
