    Yes! Exactly!!!!

When I got the truck there were 2-3 wires run right to the battery. NO FUSE! (Woo hoo!) and 1 went into the dash <?> and the others to the sleeper. Couldnt trace them so I cut them cleanly. Still haven't figured out what doesnt work. I suspect a TV or fridge or something...but no fuses...wow.
Maybe the Prior Owner thought fuses slow down the flow of current......

Kinda like my house every wire is 10/2 woith grounds. Every outlet is 20 amps with 30 amp Breakers. Never have a Power Failure UNLESS the Power company Fails.

:biggrin_2556: This way i wire it, i run it down like you said then over too left piller, run the swicth then down too a fusa inline with 10 amp, then onto fuse box , if you run all lights together and fuse blows and always does when enter the chicken coups, all your lights will be out , this way the half alseep cooper will think there your reg lights :biggrin_25523: , or you can get real tricked out, and put a flasher in line for christmas :biggrin_25523:but i never stuff a big fuse in that call for, i once bought one those 12 volt coffeee makers , dang fuse blew, so i had what i had and stuff in there i think it was a 30 opp's melted the plug off in the lighter socket what a gooy mess, dang near set the truck on fire , filled up the cab with smoke and that burnt smell in my nose didnt leave my nose for a month ,never bought any more of that crap anymore:biggrin_2559:Everett.

    Well...how about an update JD....
Is the fin AWOL now or are you waiting for your lights to do it all at the same time? Like mentioned before, I've leaned a collapsed 6' step ladder against the back of the sleeper and put the feet on the catwalk. Worked for me, should for you too!

    Ok..update time:
All of the clearance lights ordered. (Grakon 5000 - just like the OEM KW cab lights) - Opted for non-led to save some money for now. I can always swap the guts out later on...I picked up the wire Sunday... The rig is at the yard still, until Thursday after work. I am planning on working on this Fri/Sat/Sun - I am off all those days due to some Asbestos Abatement at work :biggrin_2556:.
I have a 6' step ladder but no catwalk. I want one..just looking for a used one along with a side step thing or step thing with a tool box. My steps (13") are bashed sideways a bit from the prior owner hitting that deer.

So getting up on top of the sleeper is still an issue, sort of. Too bad I still don't work for MaBell..had a nice bucket truck back then...:biggrin_25525:

    Gears Thanks this.

Well I suppose you could swap out the bulbs for LED bulbs down the road. Whenever I replace a light, it's LED. They may cost a bit more, but a guy shouldn't have to worry about replacing bulbs for a long long time.
If I was in the neighborhood I'd give you a hand....

    Hanadarko Thanks this.

I appreciate that...yea, as far as LED, I can just swap the guts out when I have more funds later on. I plan on doing that for the cab lights too.

    Just too much right now....
