Even though I'm one of the people who bought from PDI direct because I was passing their location I'd like to chime in. We already delt with the ethical issues months ago.
After dealing with PDI directly twice - once before and once after talking with Mr Haney - and calling several other times with questions, I'm convinced that no one there knows a DOT bumper from a headlight bucket.
If they had any smarts they'd put you on salary or retainer as a representative to explain and suggest the correct products for the required application. I realized they can certainly afford it when I saw the $200,000 plus custom Pete "limo" they had built as a play toy for the owner.
I am somewhat business and computer savy and I know what they're doing isn't rocket science. It wouldn't be extremely difficult to do the same things - re write factory programs, write new programs, re sell other manufacturer's products as a private brand - for a lot less than they do and still make a ton of money. It's mostly marketing, not creation of products.

Mr Haney actually told me to get my borg warner turbo from turbo exchange as it was much cheaper than the exact same turbo PDI sells for $800 more. So I did. He told me that being a trucker himself he knew what it was like having to buy expensive parts and hated to see guys spend too much. He flashed my ecm and I also bought a home made fuel temp wire from him. He patiently answered all of my ignorant questions. I had so many more I couldn't think and if it hadn't been for the fact that it was late on a sinday evening and his wife called saying dinner was ready I'm sure he would have been happy to answer more. I can relate to that my girlfriend's eyes glaze over anytime anyone asks me about the truck lol I'm sure his wife is no different. Anytime I'm ready to do more power than a 550 6NZ flash he's only a phone call and trip to the northeast away and will always have my business.

Mr.Haney took the time to understand what I did with my truck
He would not let me have all of the stage one tune
He picked different parts of the many tunes that PDI has
He took the time to research what would have the best results for me
Had I bought from PDI direct there aint no way I would be as happy with the results as I am
I don't care how much he made off of me
I think I have had it a month or so and it will pay back in one more month with just the fuel savings.
It's so much fun to pass a CO truck going up hill with 155k on the wagon
