I will second that thought. It makes the truck run smoother, more power, better mpgs, less soot, and it shifts better. It is a win win deal! The only complaint I have is not getting it done sooner.

It usually increases fuel mileage. It will increase horsepower and throttle response.

With a CAT engine, you flash a performance file into the ECM.

Detroit and Cummins are different in what can be done and how. Depending on the file in them, you may flash them with a higher horsepower rating then you can alter them with a Engineering Calibration Tool from the respective manufacturer.
