what happines if i left automatic transmission on gear while sleeping?

    Mo-16z12a-a
I think its ultra-shift... no its meritorious freedom line
Always worry about it, but once I left it on gear. Impossible on car, but not on truck

I know I've heard that if you idle a regular car or pickup in gear against the brakes too long it will overheat the internals of the tranny, but not totally sure on big truck. You would think they would have designed that so that once you pop the brakes it automatically keeps you out of any gears.

our trucks have auto check function and they automatically go in to neutral when you stop engine

on some older half automated trucks ( i mean on mercedes with EPS) they were build in 1985+ , if you leave truck in gear and after air leak from system you were in big trouble it was impossible to hold clutch until you collect air , also shift mechanism need air to change to reverse , some people used to un-brake parking brake one wheel on rear axle and get jack under axle until they collect air , but there are some emergency commands for shifting it in to neutral but lot of people dont know for this

When its on gear truck can even roll back and never move forward unless you press accelerator. Its looks like clutch pressed.

If it on gear and I press neutral button something clank inside transmission.
Also it clunk when I engage gear.

Very stupid transmission but its nice to drive it.

I think that one is a Rockwell, I guess you are right. The Ultrashift display will start flashing if the engine is running and the truck is in gear for more than a few minutes without moving. Engine off, it shouldn't start while in gear, but if the interlock isn't working, it could lurch if it did start even with the parking brake applied. A mechanic almost got run over by mine when he put it in the shop and started it from the ground.

The Rockwell is a 12 speed unless you got one with a 16 speed, I've never seen one of those, the MO in the number I have seen in tractors equipped with Freedomline (Rockwell).

    Its freedom line.
Display not flashing, I can idle truck all night on gear and on parking brakes
the only thing - cruise not working, but use it only in winter.

It looks like pressing cliche pedal for all night.
Transmission beep even if I sit on control unit, but keep silence I didn't turn it to N

If you let ZF be on gear and on parking brakes you may wear clutch down.

Yeah, there is clutch temoerature sensor, that avoids clutch overheating, but TCU keeps clutch in grip point position ready to start when you press gas pedal, so all you do is not good.

And sometimes ZF, when you keep it not in N, do not self turns to N and if truck looses air, next morning you turn ign. on - no N on display and you cant start engine till you give some air to tranny(from spare wheel for example) to shift into N
