Were these trucks worth a darn, looks aside? Always see them going real cheap and wasn't sure if it purely a cosmetic looks thing or if there was more behind it.

same as any 370-series except for the set back front axle and hood... they also had a SFFA but they are not as common.

Its just an Aero 378 with a setback axle. Fiberglass hood like a 378 instead of aluminum like a 379.

I don't mind the looks of the truck at all personally so if the trucks were made with the same quality as all the rest of Pete's stuff then I'd love to take advantage of the low price.

I think alot of the pricing has to do with it not being a 379. Most of the SBA aero hood trucks from the various companies are cheaper than the "hood" models they make. The drivetrain/chassis is going to be the same quality as the the rest of the Pete's, but the cab might be put together a little cheaper because the model was geared more towards fleets.
I run Internationals and just bought a 9900 after running 9400's for the last 10yrs. The 9900's are more expensive then the 92/9400 models just because of it's classic O/O design, but I see no difference quality wise between the two lines. I don't know how the Pete's are but on the Int. the only difference between the 9900 and 9400 is what's in front of the windshield. Everything from the windshield back is the same.

I agree with Produce hauler, in the hands of the right person even the most basic fleet geared model can be made to look just as good as the flagship models. I've seen a few 377's that were all tricked out and looked great.

They all came down the same production line either in Denton or Nashville... same truck without the long hood. They could be had with any level interior AFAIK... my son's first one had a Classic III ... his latest has the cheaper Accent trim.

Actually that looks like a 385 to me, the 377's had a somewhat longer more flared fender. I could be wrong but I had a 2001 385 that looked exactly like that hood.
