In search of more power, I feel horrible today

A friend of mine has a dump truck with a 5EK 475 with a Pitts power box, not long a go we agree to see what has more power his set up or mine 1LW with a Mr Haney tune 600hp B/S, a few guys here said that his was more powerful, so we gave it a try and I passed him like if he was standing still and he was at #5 dial on the box, but it was just a friendly match, nothing crazy and every since we kept talking about mating my ECM with his Pitts power box and yesterday was the day, I took my ecm from my truck and hook it up to his and I got to tell you, that thing went like a bat out of hell, but the glory was short lived went the one year old turbo let go, men I was scared that the motor blew up, but thankfully it was just the turbo, the weird thing is that I never saw more than 23 psi of boost and the EGT never went past 1050, but also the truck was empty so I wasn't expecting much boost either.

Today I still feel like crap about it.

There is a silver lining in your buddy's misfortune. Now he has the perfect excuse to get a BW turbo. Haney might even have one laying on his kitchen table too.

sounds kinda low on the boost turbo must have been on the way out i have the same tune on my 6nz can make 40 psi boost bobtail when its not eating injectors have fun

What turbo are you putting on?

He needs to upgrade to something bigger than stock to run the box

Between the ECM and the box you over sped the turbo. If he had a stock turbo on it with the PP box, it was already on borrowed time from him constantly over speeding it to move enough air for the extra fuel the box injects.
