Wondering if anyone has some insight on what might be my idle issue?
The shaking caused by the rough idle might be hard on the kingpins...

No, not since we re-did it. Just play around with it now and take it to shows. -
What did you "re-do", anything with the engine? Maybe it is out of time?
-
Have you been hanging out with Mr Haney and Far Call lately?
underpsi Thanks this. -
When you have your old lady in there, time it right and you shouldn't have to put much effort into it...
underpsi and HeWhoMustNotBeNamed Thank this. -

Sounds like an injecter maybe broke the plunged or possibly a rocker ARM you can use a hand held laser heat gun at the exhaust manifold also could be cam sensor I haven't worked on a cat for a while but I know cummins are bad #### the inj harness wires covering deteriorate and then then rub together they idle real rough with no check engine lite
