We bought the UT6 system from Smart Truck Systems through a dealer, Trudell, in Minneapolis and installed it ourselves yesterday. I will post pictures on here.

just courius why didnt you get Skirts and Air Tabs and or a Trailer Tail? since there is TONS of Statistics proveing they work. Conway is the only place i ever seen with this system here and sure dont see how thats going to do much of anything other then collect crap inside.

I'm interested to hear how much it effects your fuel economy

Excellent choice! How much if you don't mind me asking? I'm thinking about replacing my 1st. generation Carrier skirts which are too low to the ground and just plain bad design. I heard good things about this 6UT.

Conway, Hirschbach and Lessers carry them. There is a diffuser for the rear bumper i am loading a pic of that we attached also. We also have the ARG, aerodynamic rain guard for above the trailer, top back. They claim 5.5% increase with the Undertray and diffuser alone. The smart truck website states that skirts are contributing to brakes heating up and tires getting too hot as no air is getting to them. They are investigating fires being tied to side skirts. The undertray is supposed to block the air but also move some thru to keep brakes and tires cooler. The facts are listed on their site. This is our first day of our first trip with it on and we are watching our fuel mileage very closely and hoping for some improvement. More and more over time we hope. In four months the fuel savings should pay for itself. Then is should be more money in our pocket from then on out. We will keep you posted.

$2082 including tax, 1950 without tax and we installed it ourself. It is $2260 is they install it. It took us all day Saturday, the two of us. But we ran errands and ate lunch in between. We didnt have them install it because they couldnt do it on a friday and thats what I have available. It was not bad, gotta be able to lift it to the trailer underneath, etc. We havent installed the rain guard yet as we want to make sure we can attach it to the reefer without problem, we may have to wait on this.

would have to have detailed fuel records over months to detect change in fuel efficiency
