Help from Mr Haney. Dpf delete on a Pete!

Hey there! I understand you're the man that knows about this kind of stuff? I'm looking to do an EGR delete on my dads 07 379 peterbilt. He's got the isx in there, but no dpf, just EGR. So I'm asking where do you get a kit to block the EGR, get rid of that crappy vgt turbo and put that different turbo and exhaust manifold on it? Also what kind of software is used to change the parameters in the ECM? He also has a brand new Pete with the urea system in it. Any ideas on how to get rid of that junk as well? That thing gets terrible fuel mileage. One other thing is if my dad decides to buy another truck that has the dpf system in it, where do you get the kits to replace the turbo, get rid of the EGR and how exactly is the ceramic medium removed? Just cut it out? I'm up in Canada in the middle of nowhere, so any help would be much appreciated!

He's farming and hasn't been able to check the web as often. Maybe repost if you haven't heard from him in the next week.

Call Diesel Spec in Montreal, they can do it also. tho they will mark your invoice "for off road use only" just to cover their #####, as its illeagle to change to emission systems. you should be looking t gliders if you want to avoid all this stuff.

The tuning of these engines is fairly simple to do with a PDI tune.

    2007 ISX

Stage 1 tune $2150 US Dollars plus return shipping costs

EGR delete to the above tune is an additional $600 for a total cost of $2750 US Dollars.

Now to delete the VG Turbo from the programming is an additional $800 this brings the total cost of tuning the ECM to $3550 US Dollars

The turbo delete dictates that you remove the stock exhaust manifold and EGR Cooler assembly. To replace the manifold is $1350 US or $1850 US if you want an extrude honed and coated one. The replacement turbo is $2450 US

He also will need to replace the ISX intake manifold with the PDI intake manifold to get rid of the factory venturi restriction this is $455.

He will also need an installation kit for $450

These are the costs for the complete conversion of the 2007 ISX

The new engine will be higher in cost to eliminate the Urea system along with the other components. I don't have a price break down of doing this and have never sold this tune and parts. If you are interested in doing this I can get a full price list for you

I've been very busy with farming and haven't taken the time to look at the forum in awhile. It is hard to answer a question when you never see it

I have done this on a 2010 ISX with the help of Mr.H. It was pricey but it took our round trip fuel mileage from mid 5s to mid 7s grossing 100k from Albany NY to boston Ma. not to mention no more emissions issues. I have pics of the conversion posted in another post on this site. Pulls incredible now also
