    '07 379 tilt steering column

My Pete has the tilt wheel that you step on the pedal near the left kick panel to tilt the wheel. The locking mechanism sticks and you have to give the wheel a good pop to get it to move. Has anyone had this same experience and do you know if there is some adjustment or common repair?

I think there is a adjustment on the back of the pedal you will have to tighten the cable up with the adjuster nut on the back of it then it will have a longer stroke to pull the mechanism up under the steering wheel. you will have to pop that panel out behind the pedal to get to the aduster nut.

PROSTREET is right about the adjustment. Usually the cable stretches to far after the first or second adjustment and requires a new one. I got tired of replacing the cable and just left the wheel in the most comfortable tilted position...the telescope still works perfectly fine.
