Is it worth spending $40 for a truck wash on a company tomato hauler? We go in these dusty fields that will get them dirty again pretty quick but I'm sick of looking at thousands of dead bugs and dirt piling up, it's disgusting. The frame is the same color as the truck so it would be pretty cool to see that shining.
Is a $40 truck wash worth it?

i haul gravel drive muddy dirt roads ect and i try to get the truck washed often yeah it will get dirty again quick. and i normally pay a lot more than 40 bucks to get a wash. normally 120-170 for truck and trailer depending on how muddy it. so if the question is is 40 bucks worth it for a truck wash even if its going to get dirty again quick most certainly.
if the question is should you as a hired driver pay to have it washed. i would say if the owner takes any pride in what he does he should be paying for it. i think he would also appreciate you wanting to keep your truck clean. -
We have a wash bay at the home terminal, but OTR work may not get us there for some time. The boss will reimburse us to go in and get the tractor washed. For the job it's a fair price!
And if your not happy, wheel it around and they'll hit it again. -
We have a mobilized pressure washer at the yard but it's broken right now and he's taking forever to get it fixed.

I only washed mine at blue beacon and it cost me around $92 plus $8 tip.that include rainx on tractor and trailer, but some place have hand dry cost me another $23 and last year,it cost me 2780 for2012 wash,i cant stand looking at my rig with bug on it,well that me.

$40 is a decent price over in my neck of the woods. You might be better off having a mobile detailer come out and do it on a bi-weekly basis for another $10. This way you can have it cleaned inside and out.

all my work gets done at the beacon if they do a crappy job just make em rewash it once i had 3 washes in one day because they couldent get the bugs off the stacksHatfield&McCoy, RedPete95, The Challenger and 1 other person Thank this. -
You can do it yourself in 4 hours, so figure out if you are worth more than $10/hr + soap, bucket, bug scratchers, sponges, etc... For me, heck yah, it's cheap and they get it done so fast.
I still try to wash mine myself when i get the chance though, it's just a good opportunity to look the truck over. Between washing it and greasing it yourself you should be able to do a thorough visual inspection and spot anything that needs attention. -
I wash mine every weekend. If you don't keep it up it becomes a big chore real fast. If I'm otr in the winter the boss pays for it.
I should add he payed for all of the supplies I use at my house to wash it.The Challenger and RedPete95 Thank this.
