Does anyone know why Lucas Bio Medic ( algae killer ) was discontinued?

Engine/fuel system damage? I have a gallon and am wondering if it's safe to use. If so, what's the dosage? (The label is illegible)

I just order what I use, FPPF Killem, online. I usually get about 6 bottles at a time. That will last me a couple of years. I dose the tanks once a month to keep hitchhikers out of my fuel. Killem is a very cost effective product and does a great job.
