Hi guys im just trying to educate myself further,I have an 07 MXS Acert and was looking at manifolds and was under the impression that the aftermarket manifolds could only be used if i did the single turbo conversion, does Full tilt, BD and Pdi have a manifold that can be used with the twin setup...just asking for future reference for that day when i moght have to change manifolds to have an option other then CAT

Which in your opinion is the better of the 3 (or 2 since BD is a full tilt)

I have a PDI manifold on my 06 ACERT. I would buy another they are very well made. I would not buy the ported plated unless you want the shinny. Keep in mind if your manifold is good and your looking for a return on investment you won't be happy. There is a small gain but with the high cost of the manifold plus all the supporting new parts and 8 hours of installation time your ROI will be a very long time. Maybe as much as a year and half or more. There are more productive ways to spend your money. BUT if yours is bad I would not even consider putting a stock manifold back on.

I would only change mine if it goes bad. I know it happens on the mxs CATs from time to time. Just happened to my dad but he elected to go with original parts... I would get the ceramic coating, I know it flakes off the exterior but on the inside it doesnt and that helps the exhaust flow

I've had both the plain and coated on my truck. The first was plain but it was replaced under warranty. I paid the difference to get the ported plated manifold. Very little if any seat of the pants improvement and none at the pump. That is with a back to back same truck comparison.
The reason the first was warrantied it was one of the first ones they made and it would shear the studs off the rear section. I think it was because they had the tolerances to tight at the expansion joint. The plus side is I learned to pull the manifold and replace the studs in about two hours. Cat's book time is 8. Somewhere on here I posted what short cuts I used but who knows where. -
I bought the full tilt manifold and all the studs hardware and gaskets directly from them and I have been very happy with it. The one thing to remember about the coating is it helps to keep the heat inside the manifold big time!!! And so far after a few months and a Wisconsin winter the coating seems to be holding up. Also when you do go to replace the manifold you need to get the OEM # off the center section to ensure you get the correct one. Also depending on miles and if your exh gaskets are leaking you may want to do it sooner than later I had two gaskets with missing exhaust sleeves and two more that were broke loose and one bad turbo.
