I nave to change turbo speed sensor on 08 international prostar. Does anybody know if i have to remove turbo or i can get to that sensor with some special tool. Sensor wire touched the monifold and burned through. Got engine warning light and code for; Data Valid but Below Normal Operational Range - Moderately Severe Level. Low turbocharger speed detected by the ECM.

I have heard nothing good on changing that sensor. Why not properly butt connect the wires and see if it works?

I replaced the sensor, had to remove turbo housing on clean air side to get better access to that sensor. The whole thing took about 3 hours and thats including finding a new clamp to replace the one that I broke. It did fix the problem:biggrin_25519:. It was possible to butsplice wires on old sensor but not without removing it from the truck. I decided to put a new one in and keep the old one as a spare.
Even though I froze my ### for 3 hours i'm happy with the results.:toothy8:
