My 96 frieghtliner rear signal light went out. When I went to replace it, I found out that the new light had three wires (red, black, green), while the old harness and light had for wires (brown, blue, yellow, green). Does anyone know how I can install corresponding wires or the color codes? Going bonkers trying to figure it out using the "hit or miss" method.

    Brown is park/marker/clearance light
    blue is reverse
    yellow is left turn
    green is right turn

red is normally stop, (or turn, as this powers the brighter filament in the bulb)
    black is also tail, normally
green is odd ball in this combination.

    * I have never seen red, black, green combo before. Green is ground in house-hold wiring. I can't see green being used for the turn or stop light, as that is what the red is 99% of the time. You may have to fumble a bit to find the right combination. Hopefully someone else has seen this wiring before and knows exactly what it is .
