Volvo gearbox problem

    Hi all, I've got a 2001 fm12 Volvo, d12c at 420 with 14 speed manual gearbox.
    The problem I have is that I can no longer select crawler, 1st or 4th gears, it started as an intermittent problem but now it's permanent. It doesn't crunch or grind or even attempt to go into gear, it feel like its a problem with the selector detents or something.
    Ive been told that they have a speed sensor that stops it going into 1st gear at speeds above 20kph, and if faulty, can effect 4th as well.
    Just wondering if anyone can lend some advice on this one please

    The truck in safe mode.

    Try to clean airlines /filters that goes to gearbox/sensors

    disconnect the battery for 1/2hour
