Can anyone Help, I Have a 2006 Freightliner Columbia with Detroit and 10 spd auto ,it ran great till 2 weeks ago,
it seam that is missing ,or its got the hick UPS ,mostly up hill, I checked the turbo, no play and plenty of bust ,changed the V pad, and the delta P. and at least 3 fuel filters ,added every fuel tank additives and had it at Detroit diesel ,on the computer and checked all the bells and did a Dyno on it , all they came up to is the fuel filter(it was changed run fine till I got to Pa ,and hit some hills) and no codes.i have no idea what to do next !

It's probably defective egr stealing power causing ecm to give the engine less power. My cousin's columbia lost 20% of the power.

EGR related. Is your fuel mileage dropping too? My dad had a similar issue, it wouldn't set a code because it wasn't that bad. But, power and fuel mileage were down. Then, a CEL came on, EGR valve was replaced and power and fuel economy went back up. Some of these shops just irk me. They see the same engines every time and they can't figure out what' wrong with them?
