I am currently working on a 2010 series 60 with no egr system that has zero boost and zero manifold pressure. I pressured up the CAC to check for leaks or if plugged, it has none of the above. I removed the boost pressure sensor and hooked it up to air, gave it 27 lbs of pressure on my manual guage. While pressure was on the sensor I hooked it back to the harness and checked on my computer to see the pressure, it read 27 lbs. The sensor seems to be OK. I then re-connected my intake pressure testing kit to the charged air pipe directly off the turbo added 30 lbs it wouldn't hold pressure it leaked off immediately. I looked to see where the air was going and found that it was spilling out of the exhaust pipe. After discovering that I took the turbo off inspected it thoroughly found nothing to be wrong with it then removed the exhaust manifold. I rolled the engine over manually with my air pressure kit installed and pumping the 30 lbs I was asking and found every cylinder to be blowing air from the Intake out the exhaust. Why is this happening I'm totally lost now??????

Did you pressure check turbo alone? Does it have a wastegate?

Am I reading this wrong or are you putting air into the intake side and wondering why it is coming out the exhaust? It's been a long day so excuse me if it's a silly question.

If I am reading you right, you are preasurizing the intake and with the exhaust off the air is passing thru every cylinder. I would say he over sped it and bent the valves, Or it was set wrong, I would do a valve set or at least back off the valves on the cylinder oposite to overlap and see if that cylinder stops passing air.
Print off the history, and post the max RPM please.
    Just a thought!

Max rpm was 2175 I checked the overhead and it was all in spec. Every cylinder blew air out of the exhaust. I checked that when I took the ex. mani. off and rolled the engine over and air pumping through the CAC...

If you have air blowing thru a cylinder that has both valves closed then it has bent valves.
    Just a thought!

Every cylinder allows air to blow by so you think they all are bent? I checked the overhead all the valves are all in spec.
