It has the cummins ISX, and I'm wondering if there is a way to make the engine brake stronger. I have some experience with a 2013 and know that the engine brakes are weak, but it was also a fleet truck. This one is going to be an ex fleet rig as well. Any advice on this?
Thanks in advance!

Keep your rpms up. If it feels weak as if there is something wrong you may be due for a tune up. You may have a solenoid that is not working and you should also have Insite connected to see if the ECM is seeing 100% request from the cab computer.

My engine break was weak as well until I had an overhead set done. I also had them replace the engine break wiring harness. After that the engine break was much much stronger.

If you're talking about maxxforce. That explains everything.

between 2011 and 2014 model year, they didn't had cummins in those trucks. After 2013, they placed cummins back in them with def this time.
