I kinda wish they would bring them back as well. I always thought they were cool looking and riding in one was an experience in itself. I agree that backing up with those would be a lot less stressful than a long nose.

| Long framed cab overs look #### good in my opinion. I used to ride in my dads when I was a weee little guy. 2 chrome straights up the back of the cab... scared the crap outta me everytime I was asleep in the back. Hahaha! But yeah I do like COE's. Would love to have one just to mess around with.

My dream truck has always been an aerodyne K100. I've driven a few cabovers in my time, and I wouldn't have a problem getting back into one, though I did appreciate the ride of a decent conventional. I do like the 'bang for the buck' that's been available with COEs, since most buyers do want the conventionals. The smoothest riding truck I've driven was a cabover, by the way. It was the short-lived Pete 372, and man, was that a cushy ride. I called it my 'extended hood cabover'. A lot of other guys just figured if Darth Vader had a football helmet, it'd look something like my truck. For those who still aren't sure what I'm talking about, the Harley Davidson fleet used to use 'em.

First cab over i drove was an old mack single axle, then a 89 pete cabover which was a pretty nice rig, no P/S or A/C but rode fairly well, the last cabover was a 89 volvo cab over spring ride, it had P/S and A/C but on rough roads it would kill you, and then when you hit head winds forget it, down to 45 mph, i was glad when the owner got the air ride conventionals, i do like the looks of the long frame cabovers tho. And they are kinda fun to drive if its set up right,, Oh i did drive an old 1970 something GMC Astro cabover, that thing was a big peice of junk, rode like an old wooden wheel wagon.

CABOVERS now i have owned a few cab overs in my time never had one i liked though. they ride rougher then a GA Cobb , there hard to work on and the best feature about a caboveris if you have a wreck your the first one there and the last one to leave. ain't going back there . luck to you .---southernpride

The last generations of Freightliner and IH cabovers had flatfloors, but I never drove one. I always hated getting dressed in bed and climbing over the dog house. Didn't like my legs freezing in the winter, and in a cabover, when you're in a wreck, you're the 1st one there!
