| 40 pin ECM versus 70 pin for one thing. I think there is some cam and head differences. I know if you have the two engines side by side you'll see a few small differences in hoses etc. As for the turbo surge you'll hear it off an engine if you unhook the waste gate tube. Probably not like 550 does tho. ![]() When you let off to shift on a hill or giving it hell taking off it'll pop and almost create a suction sound. More distinct if you have straights.

| No you wont hear it surge like a big turbo will Brick, these make a loud gobbling sound cuz its spinng backwards, the normal turbos just stop fast making a whoosh noise. The head and cam is the same, the 2WS 3406E had a 70 pin ecm. C15 had a lighter block and crank compared to the old 3406E, timing cover is also different and some sensors. Then you have the ACERT twin turbo C15 which is completley different.

| 550 did you have to do any mods to make your turbo fit? I see in your pic that the oil return line goes back into the block in a different spot than mine. |

| No its a bolt on deal, the non wastegated turbos have a shorter exhaust lip where the downpipe bolts on. But i just stretched my flex pipe a bit and works well...... Your oil return should be in the same spot as this if its a MBN.

| I just went and checked, I see I have a cover on the block where yours goes in mine goes back into the block probably where your filler tube is down below the oil cooler. |

| Well no matter what turbo, the stock oil drain will bolt right up to the turbo and connect right back into the block. Yours might be a little different but you can bolt any turbo on it. All i did was loosen the band clamp around the exhaust housing and rotated it a little, but thats not a big deal and takes all of 1 minute to do.

| 830 the C manifold is the same as the B, i just checked the one on my motor. The part numbers might be different but flow rates are the same. They all use the sleeve insert in the head so they both flow the same. That and i just double checked with my CAT source.
