| I have an MBN bridge motor and sent an email to Platinum Performance and asked them if I could use both the low and high end HP harnesses and they said yes. This kinda contradicts what has been said here IIRC. Can someone give me a deffinate please.

This is probably not the completely correct version, and hopefully 550 or someone more knowledgeable than I can better explain. Also this is directed to 550- I picked up a 3406 B model exhaust manifold, and well remember seeing you post the part #s for the studs, and inserts. I've read through here 3 times, and darn if I can find that post. Could you, or someone else help me find it, or possibly post it again? You also mention that some of the manifold has to be ground off, in order to clear the thermostat housing; I'm kinda wondering if the manifold heat won't be a problem being that close to the thermostat. Thanks in advance once more for your help! Last edited by droy; 08.10.2008 at 12.30 AM. |

Sleeves no:194 8124 Gasketts no:129 9452 Short stud no:4S 6137 You are best to take off the thermostat housing and take a bit off that as well as the manifold. Thats off a C16 I would say yours is the same. As far as the heat goes it will be closer but will be a lot cooler so will not be a problem. |

Apparently you have already done yours, I'm curious, did you remove the original exhaust manifold, and thermostat housing, then install the B model housing, and grind on both till you got the thermostat housing too fit? Hopefully you don't need to remove much; I just had to replace my thermostat housing, electrolysis caused my old one to start leaking at the neck where the short hose connects. Have you noticed any difference since the swap? I was hoping to do mine Monday, but dispatch called today, putting me on standby to load Sun. afternoon, and deliver Mon. - No rest for the wicked! |

| Pulled it all to bits and found that the piece that the turbo bolts to the manifold is angled down to far,The b model manifold was off a COE and is different so had to bolt it back together. It looks like it wont be a problem though, like any modification that is a bit different it pays to allow plenty of time as there is always something to go wrong.Dont rush it. |
