How much? Well its a guy i know getting rid of it, but its the old no nox program, with a lot of timing, the guy put down a hair over 1100hp to the wheels with the 59s, 3406B manifold, stage 5 turbo and 2ws cam. Running a 1LW block, he cracked 3 5EK blocks.
Just shows how hard that ecm is fueling that motor, not only that hes "only" running 45psi of boost, i already hit the 50psi cut on mine and bypassed it.
But i might be able to talk him down to $1500.

Kenworth9, could you or 550 tell me if setting this regulator at 31psi is critical; reason for asking is a friend at one of the plants can get me a regulator but max setting is 30psi. doesn't really matter, I guess, cause they're real cheap, just curious. Also looking at my fitting, behind the air compressor, it looks to be that o-ring type screwed into the manifold, then converts to 1/4" pipe; is this where you hookup the reg.?
Sorry for all the dumb questions, but this modification stuff is new to me, and once again thanks to all for the help!

The pressure regulator needs to go behind the boost sensor in the head, at least thats how i have mine rigged up. Its above the compressor in the cylinder head close to the front of the engine.
Dont set it to 31psi, with a MBN ecm i would set it to 25psi to be safe, the ecm cuts boost above 30psi, so you want to prevent it from seeing anything past 30psi.

Guess I should start another thread, but this is mostly directed to "Mr. Cat/KW Guru", the most honorable 550

You previously mentioned that your W900 formerly MBN motor had the stock KW mufflers that had the catalitic converters in them. My 2004 has two under the sleeper one near each fuel tank; are those what you were referring to? Mine are LOUD, producing a constant roaring sound in the cab when RPM is above 1400. Decibel wise, I'd say engine brake is very near straight pipe sound, (2 warnings from small town cops so far). I'd like my truck to be quieter, but without sacrificing backpressure. I was actually thinking of replacing them with two of the older KW under sleeper mufflers. My '96 W900 with a 3406 475 had one; it was quiet, but had a lot of backpressure, I don't think I'd have a backpressure problem running two, but they're about $400.00 each.
Just wondering what your thoughts were about that. I know you're a loud pipe kinda guy, but I'm an old fart (55 y.o.) and enjoy the quiet, and a little soft music.

LOL thanks, but im hardly a KW guru.... Sounds like your mufflers are gutted out, i wouldnt go putting on twin stock KW Mufflers on there, if anything get the piping to convert it to 1 muffler and use the donaldson muffler, im not sure on the part # but PM Brickman, he installed one on his KW and said it was pretty quiet and got rid of a lot of backpressure. The Pittsburgh power muffler is a donaldson i believe, but its just a resonator and i really dont see a difference between straight pipes and that "resonator", its a different piece from the one Brickman put on.

Hey! I'm from near Montreal, nice to see another quebecker here! Unfortunately, I can't send any PMs from here, but I might be able to help you on this one, having quite a good background in CAT electronics... You probably wanna compete against Couture, Transdan, Coga, Bouchard, etc. with that kind of revolution hehe.
Try to PM me here. If it doesn't work we'll find a way to communicate for sure, it might be interesting!
