I spoke with that compagny this morning they are not able to increase top engine rev limit. So I'm still looking for someone who can help me.

3000 rpm should be ok for any stock engine. 3200 is a maximum for Cummins M11 with heavy steel-top pistons. Over that rods start to stretch. Also injector rockers may break on all Cummins engines (L-10,M-11,N-14) especially with fast injector cam. I know 1 Volvo D-12 that was revved to 3800rpm when doing a land speed record. That was a race engine but I think the bottom end was stock and also the valvetrain except racecam. |

HI all greetings from Australia just been reading up on cat power harnesses and though id throw up what I knew Ive got a harness I made myself I copied a friends Its made using 2 Deutsch Connector Part numbers are DT04-3P ![]() DT04-6S ![]() The plugs are wired straight through back to back with 1 having a 200 ohm resistor inline. If you look at the bottom right hand pin on the socket with the orange front this is the pin that has the resistor inline. ![]() I also have a fuel plug i copied which is just a Deutsch plug part number DT04-2P ![]() this has a 150 ohm resistor in the back connecting the 2 pins and plugs onto the hasness connector where it unplugs from the fuel temp sensor. Im not sure that this one is right... it tells my computer the fuel is 75 degrees celcius. and ive heard that they should tell the computer that the fuel is cold when its on i cant notice any difference.. also can anyone help me out with making something similar to these for a detroit series 60 or direct me to any info...

I ordered a fuel wire on ebay 09/02/08, but haven't received it, still to early, I guess, and for some reason, I can't track it. If/when I do get it, if someone could tell me how to check the resistor, to find the correct ohms, I'll do that, then post it. I thought I had a place to get the plugs, but wrong again; if someone knows where they can be obtained, and post that info, it will be a simple task to assemble one, saving a few $

Droy have you tried any authorized cat repair shops that's where I got mine they had a large box full of plugs, pins ect for repairing wiring on cat engines as well as some ABS brake systems use Deutsch connectors.

Darn, Why didn't I think of that, I was looking at automotive electrical supply venders, and not having any luck. Now if I can just figure that resistor out.

get a multimeter set the dial to 200 ohm thats the little symbol that looks kind of like a headphone symbol.. put the leads of the meter on the 2 pins and it should read 150 for 150 ohms i dont know if mine is right though.. i copied a friends and it tells the ecm that the fuel is 75 degrees celcius and ive read that it need to tell it the fuel is cold so it doesn't retard the timing.. can anyone clarify that one?? i have also head that with detroits you need to trick it into thinking the fuel is hot so it leaves the injector open longer... anyone clarify that 1???
