not to be condescending, but i thinkg the first thing you should do is learn about the design of a diesel engine.if you don't these harnesses will be the least of your worries.to answer your question,no these harnesses will not hurt this engine, they only fool the computer into making itself more efficient.

Sandman what do u mean learn about the design of a diesel engine? and the harnesses will be the least of my worries? just want to learn from people who know more than me
thanks mike

you need to learn the mechanics of the diesel engine, that way you don't waste your time making improvements in the wrong area.you want to learn about the internals of the engine,as well as find a tech that can assist you in preventive maintenance.

58s flow 3.107kg/min, please note these are not measured figures, they are supplied flow figures from cat.

Where does this injector measure up in your flow charts,
part # 211-3028 ?
Thanks again for the figures. Gives an idea just how big a jump, when talking about the bigger injectors

Fuel correction factor

Just got my ecm print out, was wondering if the fuel temp wire would work on my 97 5ek 550hp cat. The print out says that my fuel correction factor is 0%, does this mean that the ecm does not correct for hot fuel?

Thanks in advance for any info.

No, what that's telling you is that the fuel correction factor for fuel mileage records in the ECM is set at 0%........you can adjust this factor up or down by % to get the actual fuel tank mileage and ECM fuel mileage very close to each other. It is used for record keeping puposes in the ECM

There isn't away to set the fuel temerature differently in the ECM

Wow, finally finished reading this post, my question is what is everyones take on one of the programmed ecm's from PDI? I also noticed on ebay someone is programming 40 pin ecms for $950, it states that it is programmed for 601hp and 2049ft torque. I have a 1LW 3406E that I need to juice up for heavy hauling, fresh inframe 20 000miles ago
