550 how do I get the computer program that shops have???

I can fiddle with all my settings that way.

I'll come up with some "new" injector codes that really rock.

There is some other ones that are supposedly good for 100hp, i got em written down somewhere but every time someone tried em they didnt make squat, the 5232 is tried and true.

Good luck getting CAT software, you have to have a certain number of trucks, a shop, and you sign a waver that you will only use it on your own trucks or some crap. Its around $3000, i tried getting it a while back but they wouldnt sell it to me since i have no shop and only 2 trucks.

losses in fuel mileage after the 6NZ are mostly from the low Nox ECM programming...which will get updated almost every time you go to our local cat house. Your best bet is to get yourself an old non password protected ECM (with old codes) or a solid state electrical device (like the Pittsburgh Powerbox) that compensates for such programming. It's hard to compare the box with one of these harnesses because as far as I can see none of these harnesses directly control injector pulse width modulation. Instead they plug into MAP and fuel temp sensors and depend on the ECM to do that change...resulting in lots of smoke and excess cylinder pressures. In contrast the box modifies the OUTGOING ECM signal and directly controls the fuel injector solenoids by a magnitude set by the box's remote control power setting.

Yes and the box also retards the timing so bad, and runs the EGT's up so high with the high power levels that it melts pistons down. These harnesses are not compareable in any way to the box and are a million times safer. They wont make that much power copmparing to the box. I wont ever put one on my truck, the box, because the two main reasons i mentioned. The box just mainly holds the injector open longer, and it also retards timing to be "safe", but in most cases it is not, i have seen way to many blown motors with one.

The power im making will eclipse the box in every way and i do it reliably with all caterpillar parts.
