CAT C-12 fuel mileage,Whats your's

Just wondering what you guys with CAT'S C-12 are getting on MPG'S, also at what RPM does it run the best?

I hear Jacobson Transport, Des Moines, IA fleet avg on their freightliners is over 7 mpg pulling vans.
Best cruise rpm is around 1300-1400 rpm properly geared.

My friend has a C12 on a Day cab Freightliner Columbia and he gets just over 6 when pulling tankers for the Kenan Advantage Group.
