| What's this switch for? Hello all, I have a question about the freightliner I've been assigned. I've just started my driving career. Been solo for Schneider for almost 2 months now. I'm driving an 03 freightliner and there's a spring loaded switch on the right side of the panel that I'm wondering about. It's labeld "OPT", no one I've talked to knows what it's for, I can't find it in the operators manual and I've not seen it in any other truck I've been in. I don't really want to play with it, as I have no clue what to expect, but I sure would like to know it's purpose and I was hoping someone here might have any ideas. DannyB  |

| My guess is it was an OPTional item the purchaser of the truck didn't want to pay for. |

| Stands for Override Police Tickets. When a cop pulls you over, just push it and the cop disintegrates.  Seriously, CMoore is right. It's a dummy switch for an optional accessory.
