Yeah its will push the soot out like its going out of style

The injector part number will be a 10R-095X, either 7, 8, or 9, it should be on top of the spring retainer on the injector.

Those wont work on a acert, they are for the old engines. And you will NEED A TURBO with those at the minimum.

You can extrude hone the injectors on a acert to get more power, i would go 60% over stock, this will give about 300 more hp, put a fuel temp wire and boost wire on as well. I know of one guy getting 6.5mpg running west in a large car with this set up. You dont need turbo upgrades on them because they already push so much air with the twin turbos. The apu is a huge plus in my book, it will help millage out since you dont have to idle. Things to watch for on the acert are rocker arms, exhaust manifold studs, and belt tensioners. I dont think they are a bad motor at all but if i owned one i would build myself a single turbo, 15.2 liter, 7CZ C16 ecm'd beast
I started getting nervous and almost bought an '00 freightshaker with a 500 Detroit, kinda rough for cheap (like 8 grand). After further review it looks like I'm gonna buy that 05/475ACERT/10 over/3:36 W900. I put the pencil to it and I can make half of the payment back just from the APU savings. I'm a single guy with no bills and I get a little income from another source, so WHY THE H*LL NOT!

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "extrude hone the injectors"?

You say no turbo upgrades are required, but what about the manifold?

Pittsburgh Power has a manifold that's ported and polished. Any experience with it?

BTW - that video is COOL. Hope I see ya rollin' out that smoke soon! Maybe I'll be rollin' sum a my own...

Whats wierd is you say yours doesent smoke alot. If you ever pop the jakes and rockers off take a peek inside and see what the part # is, they are written on the spring retainer.

Id go for it, only thing im not fond of is the 10 speed, not a bad trans but i like to split my gears.

Extrude honing means boring out the injector tip basically, to flow more fuel out of a stock set of injectors.

There is no turbo upgrades for a ACERT, it doesent need one as it pushes A LOT of air as is. The problem there though is the exhaust housings on the turbos are very restrictive and it choking the engine. So you see by putting a manifold on it will help a little but it will still choke at the turbos. I would wait till the warranty runs out, get you a 3406B manifold and put a single turbo on it and dump the twins, then you will lose a lot of the back pressure, and gain power and millage. Google full-tilt performance, id post a link but dont wanna get in trouble, they have manifolds as well, they are $$$ though.

Or you can buy my W9, im home sick for a Peterbilt again

When I brought the turbo and injectors they sent 7 injectors (1 spare) they have taken the numbers off the spare injector so I would say all the numbers are missing off the 6 that are in the engine. If you cruising along in 16th about 1600rpm and stand on the throttle it will boost to 45psi with next to no lag whats so ever, jet black smoke will pour out like a solid tube for no more than 2 seconds then burn clean still boosting hard.Same deal BUT slowly push throttle boosting to 45psi over about 7-9 seconds then keep your foot right up it NO smoke at all. They obviously dont want us to know what they started with thats why they take the numbers off the new injectors. Its not a bad thing not letting people know there secerts is it????
