Nothing past 2007, you best bet is to buy yourself a glider and stick a old 3406E, C15 CAT or 12.7 Detroit in it thats been rebuilt. That is the only way to buy a new truck these days, and you will save about $40k as well.

Glider is a new truck from friehgtliner or Peterbilt without an engine, it comes pre wired fo ryou choice of a motor.

Be very wary of 08' trucks. Make sure you do your research. My wife and I have went through three of them so far and have spent 8 months solid in the shop. Two Volvo's and one KWt2000. All the 08's have been redesigned from the bottom up because of the new fuel emissions. Although out of all of them I have been hearing lately that the freightliners and Pete's have faired the best. I absolutely don't want to discourage you, I just don't want what happened to my wife and I to happen to anyone else.

Thanks for all of the replies so far.

What do you guys think about the Freightliner Cascadia + DD15?

Is the DD15 efficient in comparison to my current DD 515 hp engine?

I would recommend Detroit 12.7 60 series. This is the engine we have had the best luck with. Excellent mpg and dura/reliability.

Then there is the C 15 if your looking for a Pete.

everyone just told you how bad the new motors are. i don't think anyone would recomend either of them.
personally I wouldn't own either of those trucks regardless of the motors

So, avoid the DD15 and the ISX from Cummins?

That means that if I will go with Volvo, I will have to put in one of their $h!t Volvo engines.

i said nothing about the motors, where did you get that from?

why do you want a bunch of people you don't know to tell you what you should buy? if you can't do your own research then it's on you not us.
we told ya all the new motor have issues. if you have to have one then figure out what you want
