2000 T2000 caterpillar 3406e leftside ticking. Hello all, I am calling on the vast amount of experience out there. My T2000 with a caterpillar 3406e motor just started ticking (knocking) on the left side.The ticking is not loud or sounds heavy it does change frequency as the RPM goes up. My question is could it be a wrist pin or valve issues the mileage is 850K. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank in advance omar

I bet you have a injector spring broken, its a common thing with them, could be in the valve adjustment as well, i would set the overhead if you havent in the last 300k miles. __________________ LOAD EM LIKE RAIL CARS, DRIVE EM LIKE RACE CARS!!!!
