It doesn't matter what any of us own. Someone will always have some bad luck with it!

I've had some bad luck with my Cat, Agent has had some bad luck with his Cummins and someone somewhere is having bad luck with their Detroit!

I liked this engine but it did have its issues, the blocks wouldnt last. They liked to warp themselves beyond use after 2-3 inframes, it lasted around 400-500k miles.

Still the badest pulling engine around.

You ain't gonna believe this but I read somewhere about a guy who has over a million miles on a KT600 putting out (I think) 1000hp.

I know where one is setting in a 359 long hood pete but like you said the block is no good.

yeah i had bad luck with my Detroit, after 1.5 million miles the head gasket finally went, so i let the company mechanic work on it, that was the bad luck. moron put the gasket on upside down, used the old bolts and did not torque them down correctly
