| I've rented a sterling before, cause my truck was out of commision. Decent ride. Bought I still prefer my Freightliner M2 straight truck. Beats that old GMC I first started out with.

I drive one of these currently down here in Australia. Wouldn't swap it for anything else I've ever driven except the tour coach I was in for two years. Detroit Series 60, 18speed Eaton gearbox, 48000 lb Rockwell Diffs, Air ride suspension and a 3 speed Jake all make for a great ride in the land of the kangaroo. So don't for a moment think you're stuck with the Mercedes motor. It can be spec'd any way the company wants it. Rod |

| I have driven both Mercedes and volvo in the uk and by far the best was the volvo 460 globetrotter is was a 6x4 unit which i pulled bulk waste with it would out pull the mercedes every time.I know compared to the big trucks you have in the states it might be quite small but over here it is a great truck for a driver to have. | I guess the Kenworth W900 is my favorite. Followed closely by the newer Western Stars. I drove a Freightliner Coronado daycab for a day...Needless to say, I turned it back in at the end of the day, got my Western Star back, and told the boss that the Coronado sucked eggs.
