Chances are you don't have 59 injectors then. If my truck is idling and I just tap the fuel a little it will smoke. thats without the box. I imagine if I put on load on the motor with them they would smoke alot

When the stock and GT47 turbo's were sitting side by side there looked to be no difference in the size of the turbine housing but the compressor housing on the GT47 looked a lot bigger.
Also the GT47 didn't have a divider in the middle of the intake for the turbine.

So a GT55 you buy from Garret may be considerably different to the GT55 fitted to a C18, sorry for any confusion. Wasn't till I did some reading I realised there was so much involved in this.

On Garrett turbocharger comparison sheet there's only 92.7mm turbine wheel for all 47s, 55s have 111.5mm, there is no 95mm wheel.

I thought OEM Cat turbos are Schwitzer/BW/3K ?

That's why it's not working under 1400rpm. You should by a divided housing.

shaun, did you ever get anyone to put trim codes into it?

even though it would have been off boost below 1400, above that up the hills would have been great

Don't think I need them 800+hp is enough but am looking at the heavy haul program

even though it would have been off boost below 1400, above that up the hills would have been great
Never run under 1400rpm stock or modified always around 15-1700 might burn a bit more fuel but sounds better.

Has me scratching my head too...
All I can tell you is cat TMI say a C15 6NZ turbo is a GT470201B1.42VT. I know that the 1.42 is the A/R of the exhaust housing, as for a GT470201B I dont really know, I though it meant they are a GT47 but if they are they dont match any thing you can buy from direct Garrett.
As for cat turbos being Schwitzer etc, well I know some older ones are, and probably they use all different turbo suppliers depending on what they need but I can definately tell you C15 and C16 housings have the AiResearch logo stamped in them, AiResearch is a division of Garrett (or was before they became Honeywell).

Don't they have a wastegate? That Garrett data sheet doesn't have any 47s with wastegate, maybe that's why it doesn't match with anything. DDS got over 1000rwhp with stock turbo so it can't be very small.
