O/O Ripoff report of truck dealers and mechanic shops

Just wanted to let all truckers know about our experience with Wisconsin Kenworth so that you won't get taken like we were. We have also come to find out we are not the only ones this has happened to. We bought an 07 W-900 from them and within the first hundred miles away from Milwaukee it was cutting out and the dash went completely dead. We took it back and let them try to repair it. They managed to repair the dash but not the running problem. On the first trip out with the truck it almost left my driver on the side of the road in PA with a frozen load on. A Kenworth dealer in PA found the problem and repaired it. The salesman at WI KW promised he would take care of it, no problem. Now here we are 3 months later and we are still getting the run around. They claim the bill is too high. We have gotten estimates from other dealers and it was the same as this bill. That is how we found out we are not the only ones this has happened to in dealing with WI KW. Be careful when buying from them. They don't stand behind what they sell.

Thumbs down Do Not Buy a Truck from these guys

I am posting this to give o/o's a heads up to NOT buy a truck from Bulldog Truck & Equipment in Atlanta. A friend of mine bought a truck from them and had to bounce it back because it broke down so much. He had the truck a little less than 90 days and in those 90 days spent over $4,500 in repair bills. The repairs coupled with the lost money in down time put him out of business. From day one it had electrical issues. They, (Bulldog), sold him a Motorsilk Warranty for $4,700 which covered absolutely nothing that broke down. Motorsilk is owned by a company named Guardian, do a Google search on them and see all the negative comments that come up. In the first week he had to put a clutch in it. Which they claim was fine when it was at their facility. To sell a lemon and then not stand behind it is pretty bad. It's a shame that in these economic times people are that un-ethical. Do NOT buy from Bulldog or American Bank Leasing, unless you want a headache.

WI kenworth out of Madison is where I get all my parts, since basically they are the only KW dealer around. Never had a problem, but like I said, all I do is buy parts there, someone else does my service work.

Texas truck sales in houston. They paint the frame and wheels to black and any other imperfections in the trucks are painted. Trucks are wayy overpriced.

I remember that one. I figgured your reefer/compresor was fine. That is BAD when a thermo king dealer mis-diagnoses their bread and butter like that. Hope it was just a kid first day on the job.

I have bought 2 trucks from Madison Kenworth and parts as well. I've nothing but good things to say about them.

We are dealing with the Milwaukee branch and found out yesterday that they did this very same thing to Altorfers in Cedar Rapids. Milwaukee sold a truck and it had a bad oil leak right off the lot. Told Altorfers they would take care of the bill and never paid them. They said the bill was too high just like they told us. Altorfers are willing to help us and back us up 100%. We also found out from the Kenworth dealer in CR that the warranty has not been switched into our names yet and it has been 3 months. Maybe Madison is a better branch or their people are on the up and up.
