| Foggy Yellow Truck Headlights? Just wanted to advise my fellow truckers that i used Headlight Restoration Service, located in Birmingham Alabama, when i needed to replace my hazed over headlights. I hope this helps.  |

| Thanks. There are also several DIY products out now. Seen it at DIcount Auto, Walmart, then saw one on TV buy McQuires (I think).

| I have seen a couple sets of "restored" headlights, not good, not good at all... Not saying this will happen to you (I have never actually done it myself), but be prepared to go buy brand new if your restore doesn't come out well. The sets I have seen looked pretty dang good for the first week or so, and after a couple of weeks they turn very cloudy and look as bad, if not worse than before. SORRY, I just realized you had your professionally redone, and didn't use a kit from a big box auto parts store. I would assume you'll get a whole lot better results. |

| I have used the do it yourself kit on mine and came out real good. Got it off E Bay from Ryder Truck. They sell fleet prods. Kit cost about $20. Have seen others at Wally World but have no personal experience with them.

| You know how Ford F series trucks from 1987 up turn yellow with age? Dunk them in a bucket of bleach. Turns them back to white/clear. Don't know if they work on any other brands, but I would be suprised if it didn't. Any scratches just get out the drill and some polishing compound. |

| I used the 3M one on my wifes Pickup about 2 years ago and they are still crystal clear. they were to the point that it was getting hard to tell if the lights were on or not at night.. The key thing is to follow the directions and to be sure to put the coating of sealant on them when you are done.. The process is basically a wet sanding process with utlra fine grit wet sand paper then after they are cleared up it comes with a silicoln sealant to reseal the outter plastic to keep anything from gettin back in there to oxidize them again... |
