Thanks for the flic, bern009. I assume you do stump grinding also? What problems have you had with the radio control? The only problem we have had is when the remote got run over....... That was a $7K f__ up. Glad i didnt take credit for that one...
I probably asked you before, but where are you from?
Have a great weekend....

Can you explain the slipper clutch? I've heard of them but don't know anything about them.

I bet that lipe clutch is a b**ch to push and hold in.

I'm assuming their referring to a clutch like a "Crower" which engages with RPM. With the one in this pic you press the clutch pedal as far as possible to move at low RPM but it engages on it's own at higher RPM. When your trying to slowly load the engine to spool turbos it's all you can do to hold the clutch pedal down enough to keep the truck from moving, even with aftermarket hydraulics.

This one is mounted on a 5.9L Cummins, you add weights to the clutch fingers to change the RPM it engages. Most I've seen have 4 disks.

I don't think it's a problem in racing use. If you rev the engine at max rpm a couple of seconds before start there's so much air pumped through engine that even a big turbo will spin so much that it makes maybe 0.1-0.2 bar of boost, meaning it will react very fast when you give load to it. I guess you don't even need max power in first gear because of limited grip when bobtailing. When pulling trailers or sled the spool up is not a problem. They also have 5 different A/R exhaust housings to choose from to get right boost/backpressure ratio.
